A new ultralight flights operator is coming up in Pokhara.
Pokhara Ultralight Company is commencing operation in the tourist town within a month. At present, Avia Club has been operating ultralight flights in Pokhara.
The company has acquired three ultralight aircraft with 80 horse power capacity made by Ukraine-based Aeros, according to Dr Prabin Baniya, president of the company. “The aircraft has already arrived. We have already conducted the test flight” he added.
The company has already built hangar for the aircraft at Pokhara Airport.
“We have arranged sufficient manpower to operate the flights,” Baniya said, adding, “We have intensified operation to operate flights as per the schedule.”
The ultralight aircraft with flex wings can carry two persons including a pilot. The planes are designed is such a way that passengers can enjoy views of the lake city and snowy mountains in the northern horizon easily.
