The 18th annual general assembly of Village Tourism Forum (VITOF) Nepal has elected a new committee under the leadership of Chitra Bahadur Gurung.
Of the 322 votes cast, Gurung received 184, while other presidential candidate Ram Prasad Sapkota got 137 votes.
First vice president Dhruba Simkhada, second vice president Damodar Dahal, secretary Basudev Pandey, treasurer Rajendra Man Dangol and five members – Deepak Dahal, Tikadatta Barakoti, Krishna Bahadur Subedi, Gagan Raj Neupane and Indra Bahadur Rai — were elected unopposed.
Similarly, Rajkumar Thapa has been elected to the post of general secretary. He defeated Shekhar Thapa by a massive 163 votes. Deepak Dahal has been elected to the post of joint treasurer. Dahal defeated Deepak Bhattarai by 124 votes.
Immediate past president Shiva Lamichhane is also in the executive committee.
VITOF Nepal’s new executive committee will get complete shape once the new executive committee nominates two new executive members.
