The 25th Annual General Meeting of Nepal Association of Rafting Agents (NARA) has elected a new executive committee with Chandra Bahdaur Dahal of Eco Nepal Adventure as the president.
Dahal defeated Suk Bahadur Lama of Himalyan River Operator.
Other office-bearers and executive members were elected unopposed. The executive committee will serve for a two-year term.
Shankar Adhikari of Himalayan River Fun is the vice-president in the new executive committee, while Ganga Prasad Nepal of The United River Adventure, Tej Bahadur Jarga of Mountain River Rafting and Gorkah Bahadur Darlami of Lotus Waves Nepal are the general secretary, treasurer and joint-treasurer, respectively. Similarly, Shekhar Bahadur Thapa of Nepal Rafting Center, Kamal Thakuri of Adventure River Trails and Churamani Aryal of Alternative Nepal have been unanimously elected as executive members. Outgoing president Nani Kaji Thapa of Asian Adventure Center is also in the executive committee as immediate past president.
Earlier, Tourism Secretary Sushil Ghimire unveiled a special souvenir published on the occasion of Silver Jubilee of NARA.
NARA is the umbrella association of rafting agents in the country.
